Our founder
CS Bilu Balakrishnan is a governance, risk and ESG professional with 20 years of experience helping boards and senior management build and run frameworks for corporate governance, enterprise risk management and ESG risk.
For 17 years he served as General Manager (Corporate Legal, PR & Admin) and Company Secretary of a Government of Kerala enterprise — acting as Secretary to the Board and all Board Committees, including the Audit Committee and the Risk Management Committee — and advising the Chairman, Managing Director and directors on regulatory, strategic and risk matters.
A Practising Company Secretary, he brings working knowledge of Indian and UAE company law, a legal background in contracts and dispute resolution, and two decades of training directors and professionals in governance, CSR and ESG. He founded Bilu Balakrishnan Management Consultancy to give UAE businesses structured, framework-led advisory that is practical, proportionate and tuned to the local regulatory landscape.
